About

HINODE

HINODE is not a manufacturer. It selects, combines and edits work from makers across Japan — across regions and categories — around the experience a hotel wants to create. Not limited to any one maker or product, the range widens from here.

KUROKO COLLECTION

Black tableware for fine dining, chef's tables and lounges

KUROKO COLLECTION — Yamahei square plate, COCOO cup, wine glass and chopsticks in black

KUROKO COLLECTION is curated by HINODE under one idea: to let the dish take center stage.

Because HINODE is not a manufacturer, it can propose from a broad range of choices across Japan — plates, bowls, glasses, cups, chopsticks and washi — tailored to each restaurant's cuisine, space, brand and budget.

The dish takes center stage. We curate everything around it.

From KUROKO COLLECTION

Two pieces in black.

COCOO KOMLA veil, Midnight — black lacquered paper cup
COCOO

KOMLA veil — Midnight (Black)

Beautiful, reusable — made from paper. KOMLA veil layers natural urushi over paper. At about 14g, it is washable, while its polished 1 mm rim feels almost absent at the lips.

Yamahei Porcelain Suzuriishi Square Plate, 24 cm Black, with a thin profile and stone-textured surface
Yamahei Porcelain

Suzuriishi Square Plate — 24 cm, Black

Natural stone texture, captured in Japanese Arita porcelain. This 24 cm square plate reveals subtle changes in its surface as the viewing angle shifts. The shaped edge and foot support a lightweight form and one-handed service. 240 × 240 × H12 mm.

Beyond the Stay

In-room objects for every hour of the guest's stay

Masuda Kiribako Mirror Box in a hotel bathroom

In a luxury hotel, hospitality is not only a beautifully prepared room. The guest arrives, enjoys something small and sweet, gets ready, spends a quiet hour with someone, rests at the end of the day.

Beyond the Stay looks at each of those hours and turns the stay itself into a better experience — respecting the brand, culture and service each hotel already has, and settling into it naturally.

Hospitality, designed for the time in between.

From Beyond the Stay

Three pieces, all Masuda Kiribako.

Masuda Kiribako Mirror Box, Cedar, with the mirror raised
Masuda Kiribako

Mirror Box (Cedar)

One box, shaped by the moment. Its lid becomes a two-angle mirror, uniting storage, grooming and order in a hotel room.

Masuda Kiribako REVERSI DecoBoco, raised and recessed board with playing pieces
Masuda Kiribako

REVERSI "DecoBoco"

A raised and recessed board and easy-grip octagonal pieces invite hotel guests to put down their phones, share a game, and reconnect face to face.

Masuda Kiribako Clothing Storage Box, M, open with folded clothing
Masuda Kiribako

Clothing Storage Box — M

Hospitality felt in opening. A light, humidity-regulating paulownia box; tiny diagonal cuts at each lid corner make lifting easy.

Welcome Dashi

A single sip, before the meal begins

Welcome Dashi concept setting with a pouring vessel and three different vessels

We combine vessel, pouring vessel, presentation and service to turn a restaurant's existing culinary philosophy into a short experience before the meal.

Chef chooses the dashi. Guest chooses the vessel. We design the moment.

Designed to awaken, not satisfy.

From Welcome Dashi

Two vessel choices for the guest — the deliberate contrast the concept is built on.

GATO MIKIO TOHKA Sake Cup, wood grain detail
GATO MIKIO

TOHKA Sake Cup — Plain

Captivating from the first touch. Yamanaka artisans turn mizume wood into TOHKA's slender form and thin rim — a clear finish reveals the grain, with surprising lightness at the lips.

Yamahei Eggshell Guinomi Fuji on its wooden presentation boxYamahei eggshell porcelain material detail: light and the outline of fingers visible through porcelain
Yamahei Porcelain

Eggshell Guinomi — Fuji

Breathtakingly thin — even light passes through. Fuji is Arita porcelain with a rim under 1 mm, fired at 1,300°C for 13 hours, light, strong and translucent.
